We are delighted that our next Oranmore Heritage lecture will take place on Wednesday evening, 24th February at 7.45pm and will be delivered by Dolores Kilroe and Cillian Keane. The talk is entitled ‘1916 Banner and Oranmore during the Rising’
Dolores Kilroe and Cillian Keane are members of the 1916 Oranmore Maree Commemoration Committee which was set up to commemorate the Centenary, to conserve and to create a replica of the 1916 Banner. The Banner was made by RM Conception Fagan, Calasanctius College for the Oranmore Maree Volunteers in the 1916 Rising. Dolores will talk about the Conservation and Replica Project and about RM Fagan. Cillian will take us on the journey of Joe Howley and the Oranmore Maree Volunteers through the Rising.
